Tree Planting

It’s tree planting time again and whether you’re an old hand or a complete novice you’re invited to join us at our planting sessions over the winter.

The first session is on Saturday 4 December where we’ll be planting seven trees in South Millfields, two of which are memorial trees. In the middle of February we will be planting 1000 whips, a mix of native and non-native woodland trees, some ornamentals, and some large parkland trees in the space behind the electricity sub-station in South Millfields. This planting will run over at least a couple of days and will include sessions with school-children.

You can join the tree planting sessions by signing up on Eventbrite. The link will also keep you up to date with plantings in other Hackney parks with the Tree Musketeers:

Next MUG Meeting

If you would like to have a say about how our park develops please do join our meetings. The next one will be held on Monday 1 November at 19.00 on Zoom.

We expect to be discussing activities for older people in the park; winter tree planting behind the electricity sub-station; and planning events for summer 2022.
