We are delighted to see the opening of the new children’s playground on Millfields Estate which opens on to South Millfields. It’s lovely to see so many children and families enjoying the space and occupying a part of the park which previously felt underused.

The works are not completed yet. Last week we saw a litter bin being installed in the playground. There are still some works to do on the planting. We’ve also had some queries as to whether a gate can be installed to prevent children wandering into the car parks on the estate, and whether the yellow gate in the playground, intended to keep the youngest children safe, can have a catch on it. We’ve passed these comments on to the council.
