Millfields User Group will be out in South Millfields on Sunday morning from 11.00 until 13.00 with a selection of plants grown by our volunteers. We are seeking donations for the plants which will go towards the funding of the free Tree Circle Cinema event on the evening of Saturday 24 June.

We’ll be near the main entrance to South Millfields near the Powerscroft Road/ Millfields Road entrance with some houseplants, herbs, veg, and fruit bushes, pond plants, ground cover, shrubs and other garden plants. Donations of plants also very welcome.

We’ve had a glorious Spring across all parts of the park (ignoring the cabling works that are currently going on across North Millfields, down the side of the cricket pitch, and between the tree circle and basketball courts in South Millfields). The trees and plants have been looking glorious and the parks staff have mowed around and through the grass in “No Mow May” giving us paths through long grasses and more flowers than we’ve had before.
